We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate
Radiology Technologist
to join our team at a Family Medicine Clinic in Iowa. This role is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine diagnostic radiologic procedures (X-rays) as ordered by providers
Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality
Maintain and operate radiology equipment in accordance with safety protocols
Observe strict radiation safety guidelines for patients, staff, and self
Obtain patient history and explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort
Document procedures and upload images accurately within the EMR system
Assist clinical team with patient care tasks as needed (e.g., rooming, vitals)
Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff regarding imaging needs
Maintain compliance with clinic policies, state regulations, and HIPAA standards
Participate in ongoing education and certification updates
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology
Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Valid Iowa Permit to Practice Radiography
(issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Completion of Mandatory Reporter training (dependent adult and child abuse)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team
Proficient in using electronic medical records and radiology systems
