The Hand Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care while performing evaluations and developing and administering treatment plans in an outpatient hand therapy clinic effectively and efficiently.
This is a full‑time position, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The schedule may be adjusted based on clinic needs and candidate availability.
Responsibilities Routinely evaluate and treat outpatient conditions in consultation with physicians and under direct access. Choose and apply a wide variety of therapeutic exercises, modalities, manual therapy, and other treatments in accordance with state licensing requirements. Document patient care services according to regulatory and departmental guidelines. Supervise an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) as required. Collaborate with physicians, managers, and staff across the organization. Maintain a safe environment for self, staff, and patients. Participate in continuing education to maintain state license and share knowledge with staff and community. Occasionally participate in community outreach events.
Qualifications Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program; Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s or Doctorate preferred. Active Minnesota state license in Occupational Therapy. NBCOT certification. Certified Hand Therapist preferred; Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience preferred, with Certified Hand Therapist strongly encouraged.
