Behavioral Health Therapist at ND Health and Human Services — Badlands Behavioral Health Clinic, Dickinson, ND. Sign on bonus minimum $10,000. As a team member for the North Dakota Department of Health & Human Services, you will help ensure access to high-quality healthcare for vulnerable populations and promote prevention, effective treatment, and recovery. We are seeking a compassionate, licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary teams. This role involves providing individual, group, and family therapy to adults, youth, and families experiencing a range of behavioral and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate is dedicated to promoting wellness, resilience, and recovery through evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach. You will thrive in this position if you are committed to a rehabilitative and person-centered philosophy, comfortable providing services in homes and communities, are flexible and adaptable to change, and are willing to work 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide culturally responsive therapy services to individuals, youth, and families experiencing severe or chronic mental illness. Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. Collaborate with internal teams, medical providers, case managers, and community resources to ensure coordinated care. Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with agency and licensing requirements. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development. Respond to crises and provide crisis risk assessments as needed. Qualifications

Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, or related field approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners; ND licensure as an LCSW or LPCC. OR Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with licensure as LMFT by the ND Board of Marriage and Family Therapy. OR Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology with eligibility for licensure as LMFT by the ND Board of Marriage and Family Therapy. OR Doctorate in Psychology with ND licensure as a psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners. We will consider filling this position as a Human Relations Counselor at a reduced rate. Human Relations Counselors must have a master’s degree in counseling and LAPC licensure, and be within two years of LPCC licensure. Details regarding licensure status and training hours must be submitted with the application. OR Master’s degree in Social Work with LMSW licensure. OR Master’s degree in Counseling with LPC licensure. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation. About HHS and Location
