Join our team and mission in Lander, WY! The Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) seeks a Speech Therapist to work with our outstanding Therapies Team and provide speech therapy services to our residents.
Provide communication, mealtime, oral motor, and hearing components of the functional assessments to maintain own caseload.
Coordinate therapeutic programming to ensure active treatment for individuals served, including ongoing staff in-service.
Ensure therapy program interventions meet the individual's needs through at least monthly monitoring and written monthly and/or quarterly progress notes and in-service.
Teach the mealtime challenges class and other specialty subjects to staff. Ensure that staff training needs are met, specifically related to communication, therapeutic mealtime, and oral motor.
Order and maintain necessary mealtime and communication equipment.
Develop and maintain evaluation and training kits if they are not commercially available.
Serve as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team and special committees.
Coordinate the development of augmentative/alternative communication for non-verbal individuals, including the creation, construction, and maintenance of materials and/or equipment for AAC systems.
Assist in providing community consultations, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
Licensure Licensure or eligible for licensure in the State of Wyoming as a Speech Pathologist
