Person in this position will be responsible for the planning and coordination of the clinical activities pertaining to mental health services for clients and their families. Interview clients when referred by clinical staff for therapy, conduct assessment and individual, conjoint, couple, and multiple family group counseling as indicated. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Essential Job Functions
Provide face-to-face review of ASAM-based assessments and reassessments to determine diagnosis and medical necessity for SUD treatment. Plan and coordinate clinical activities for co-occurring clients and their families, including individual and group counseling and facilitation. Supervise screening and case assignment for referred clients. Assist staff in resolving client issues related to mental health. Participate in staff meetings and treatment planning conferences. Contribute to discharge planning and treatment progress reviews. Attend diagnostic and treatment meetings for collaborative planning. Engage in staff training related to therapy. Contribute to quality improvement processes related to therapy. Maintain client charts in compliance with regulations. Embody WestCare Foundation's mission, vision, and principles. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive, possess knowledge of substance abuse treatment, have excellent communication skills, exercise good judgment, work well in teams, maintain confidentiality, and have a professional appearance. Ability to obtain necessary clearances and certifications is required. Experience & Education
Experience in intake and assessment preferred. Knowledge of ASAM assessment system preferred. Graduation with a master's degree in a relevant field leading to licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC). Licensure/Certification
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) preferred; registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences required. Working Conditions
Work primarily in office or treatment settings. Outdoor activities and UA testing required. Must be able to de-escalate situations. Additional Information
Entry level, full-time position. Location: Fresno, CA. Salary: $75,000 - $85,000.
