Postdoctoral Positions at USC - Lung Disease Research
Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Zhaoxia (Julia) Qu at the University of Southern California (USC) Health Science Campus, located in Los Angeles, California. The lab focuses on lung immunity, inflammation, and diseases, including lung cancer, which is the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Using mouse and human co-clinical models and advanced technologies, the group aims to elucidate the molecular and cellular mechanisms of lung disease development, progression, and therapy resistance, with the goal of developing innovative therapies for lung cancer. We seek highly motivated, creative postdoctoral researchers with experience in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, pathology, cancer biology, bioinformatics, or related fields. Experience with animal models is desirable but not essential. Candidates should be capable of working independently and collaboratively. Develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments. Assist in maintaining lab routine and cleanliness. Must Demonstrate: Ability to work independently. Effective collaboration skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professionalism, including honesty and integrity. Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in biological sciences or related field. Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, pathology, cancer biology, or bioinformatics. Experience with animal models is a plus. Additional Details:
