Summary
The Test Lab Technician will assemble and installation of API compliant centrifugal pumps on test stand, flexible and rigid joint pipe assembly and installation up to 36" diameter, connection of ANSI class 150# - 2500# flanges, mechanical shaft alignment via optical laser alignment tool, electric motor power connections up to 4160V, API mechanical seal flush plan installation, daily operation of flow control valves (butterfly, gate, globe), Daily overhead crane operation and heavy equipment operation.
Currently seeking a Test Lab Technician to join our Tyler, TX location
Responsibilities of the Test Lab Technician include, but are not limited to:
Assembly and installation of API compliant centrifugal pumps on test stand Flexible and rigid joint pipe assembly and installation up to 36" diameter Connection of ANSI class 150# - 2500# flanges Mechanical shaft alignment via optical laser alignment tool Electric motor power connections up to 4160V API mechanical seal flush plan installation Daily operation of flow control valves (butterfly, gate, globe) Routine maintenance of shop tools and equipment Daily overhead crane operation Daily heavy equipment operation

Qualifications of the Test Lab Technician include, but are not limited to:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry Possesses a skill set in fabrication including oxygen/acetylene cutting, MIG and Arc welding Is capable of operating overhead cranes/heavy machinery Has experience with mechanical shaft alignment Has experience with electrical wiring/controls

Physical Demand: Lift up to 50 lbs Working Conditions: Shop environment Training/Certifications: N/A Shift Time/Overtime: Standard hours are 7 am - 5:00 pm, will be working overtime and some weekends Travel: N/A Education: High School Diploma or GED
