Overview
Family-Based Intensive Treatment (FIT) Clinician is a salaried position with a designated number of families to work with. The role involves delivering intensive family therapy, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and assessments for youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED) and their families. Services are provided in home and community settings, focusing on strengthening family dynamics and supporting youth’s mental health in a strength-based, culturally competent, trauma-informed manner. This position is part of a small, dedicated team (including a FIT Clinician and a Family Partner) within JRI's Community Service Agencies. Salary:
$75,000 - $79,000 per year Responsibilities
Provide intensive family therapy, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and assessments. Design and deliver focused, evidence-based interventions and behavioral techniques to build skills, safety planning, strengthen family dynamics, and support the youth to prevent the need for inpatient or higher levels of care. Contribute as a vital member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to guide and support youth and families. Develop a structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship with youth and families to improve behavioral health outcomes and family functioning. Provide culturally competent, trauma-informed, confidential clinical services to guide care for the youth at the center of the treatment. Provide consultation to collaterals (e.g., schools and medical service providers) to help the youth navigate life with more support. Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age. Minimum Master’s degree or above in the mental health field; licensed or license-eligible (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT). Ability to create and implement treatment plans that reflect the client’s cultural background. Proven ability to form therapeutic relationships with diverse populations. Flexible work schedule; willingness to participate in an on-call schedule. Knowledge of or ability to learn electronic medical record software and basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite). Clinical experience with children/adolescents; trauma-informed treatment preferred. Community mental health or family therapy experience is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills. Daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle and active Driver’s License. Background and driving record checks will be performed. Benefits and Policies
