Life Balance Recovery is a substance abuse and mental health outpatient practice and is looking to hire a full‑time counselor. This role provides therapeutic services to individuals and groups struggling with substance use disorders and co‑occurring mental health conditions. The Counselor works to support recovery through evidence‑based practices, collaborative treatment planning, and compassionate care. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, trauma‑informed environment. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and intake evaluations. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients & clinical team. Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence‑based approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, MI, relapse prevention). Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services when necessary. Monitor, assess, and document client progress regularly and update treatment plans accordingly. Assist clients with discharge planning, aftercare coordination, and community referrals. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date, and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA, CARF, and state regulations. Complete all documentation in a timely manner, including session notes, treatment updates, and discharge summaries. Participate in internal audits and contribute to maintaining program accreditation standards. Participate in daily staff meetings, clinical supervision, and case consultations. Work collaboratively with other counselors, peer support specialists, medical providers, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care. Support a team‑oriented culture grounded in trauma‑informed care and harm reduction principles. Educate clients and families about addiction, mental health, coping skills, and recovery resources. Advocate for client needs within the community and treatment system. Support clients in setting and achieving recovery‑oriented goals. Attend required trainings, conferences, and in‑service workshops to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices. Engage in regular clinical supervision and seek feedback for continued growth. Qualifications

Bachelors or Master’s Degree with Utah State License as a LCSW, ACMHC, CMHC, AMFT, LMFT, or SUDC preferred and offer necessary supervision if needed. Previous mental health/substance abuse experience preferred. Excellent working environment with growing potential.
