Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year The Role You\'ll Contribute
The Cardiovascular Invasive Laboratory Specialist IV (CILS IV) performs a wide range of technical skills, utilized during a variety of Cardiac interventions including PCI with STEMI call plus two of the following: Interventional radiology, Vascular procedures, Electrophysiology devices, and Y90 procedures OR proficient in EP ablation OR Destination (ORL South) complex Cath procedures including biopsy. The CILS IV is proficient in all aspects of angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation and monitoring, consistent with Cardiovascular Services policies. Adheres to the guidelines and standards of professional practice associations. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all colleagues. Follows CDC isolation guidelines, uses PPE, and performs hand hygiene per accepted standards. Prepares patients using aseptic technique as dictated by procedure ordered. Identifies hazards and ensures adherence to regulatory standards and safety regulations. Annually meets all required department competencies. Verifies orders and facilitates implementation, communicates with physician as needed. Performs treatments and administers medications according to policy. Functions in clinical emergencies and evaluates intervention effectiveness. Works within the scope of practice for Cardiovascular Interventional Technologists. Facilitates timely patient throughput. Produces accurately written medical records for each patient and maintains record authenticity and security; follows process for amending documents. Performs effectively in procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team or EP lab; takes call as rotated/assigned and responds per policy. Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you\'ll need to succeed: Associate Degree required or equivalent Experience in complex cardiac interventional procedures Experience in electrophysiology diagnostic and interventional procedures Experience in pediatric invasive procedures Experience in structural heart procedures BCLS - Basic Life Support ACLS Required RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist 1 Relevant healthcare experience Required Preferred
Bachelor\'s Degree 2 years\' experience in Cardiac Cath/ EP /NeuroSciences/ Critical Care, or Interventional Radiology Preferred Knowledge of advanced levels of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation Knowledge of complex electrophysiology procedures Knowledge of complex cardiac intervention Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures Knowledge of peripheral diagnostic procedures Knowledge of peripheral interventional procedures Knowledge of Y90 procedures This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
