A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to serve middle school students in grades 6th through 8th. This position is located in Fort Pierce, FL, with a contract duration spanning the current school year through May 28, 2026. Both full-time and part-time candidates are encouraged to apply, and candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome.
Key Qualifications
Certification and skills in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) roles
Experience or clinical fellowship completion preferred, with open consideration for newly credentialed professionals
Comfort working with pediatric populations in a school setting, particularly middle school students
Strong knowledge of educational speech therapy strategies and caseload management for grades 6-8
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within school environments and multidisciplinary teams
Location: Fort Pierce, Florida – Middle School environment
Responsibilities
Manage and provide speech and language therapy services to a caseload of middle school students
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals
Conduct evaluations, progress monitoring, and documentation in alignment with district and state guidelines
Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff to promote student success and communication skills development
Adhere to professional ethical standards and maintain confidentiality
