Join the Auburn Advancement team as a Development Officer to work with the Pharmacy College. This role is vital in building lasting relationships and securing resources needed to support Auburn Advancement and Auburn University’s philanthropic mission.
Responsibilities
Identify and cultivate major giving prospects through research, initial contact ratings, peer reviews, and other resources. Understand their passions to align philanthropic goals with Auburn’s mission.
Solicit and secure major gifts through person-to-person visits, group presentations, and phone calls. Present compelling cases for support and highlight the impact of contributions.
Show gratitude and keep donors informed and engaged through personalized acknowledgements, event attendance, and regular contact.
Champion philanthropy by encouraging alumni and stakeholders to support the university’s mission, fostering a sense of pride and impact.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Development Officer I:
Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations.
Development Officer II:
Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations.
Development Officer III:
Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations.
