Sunday - Thursday, 8am-5pm POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director and the Director of Residential Treatment this position is responsible for the management and delivery of direct client counseling services to assigned individuals and groups participating in Native American Connections residential program. RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide substance use counseling to individuals/groups in the areas outlined in the program description and structure of content as necessary to address the client’s identified substance abuse, mental health, psychosocial, and trauma treatment needs. Review assessments and provide referral services as necessary to meet the client’s identified needs Document / monitor all services provided in the client record (demographic data, treatment plans, psychosocial history, progress notes, transition planning, discharge summary, crisis plans, ASAM, ART, etc). Oversee and assist each assigned client with individualized service planning and service plan reviews as required or as clinically appropriate. Provide culturally sensitive therapy modalities through existing services, outside referral services, or the development of new services. Assist in clinical transition planning to ensure continuation of clinically appropriate services. Maintain productivity standards and meet documentation deadlines Provide reports as requested by supervisor Timely completion of utilization management reviews or submission of documents needed for authorization of continued stay Maintain coordination of care regarding client’s progress in treatment with referral source and/or stakeholders Provide family counseling on substance use issues within the family and collaborate in facilitation of Circle of Strength as appropriate for client and family needs May supervise Interns as needed under the oversight of the Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Director Support and actively engage in practices of inclusion through Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards Perform other duties as assigned Skills Required

MS Office proficiency Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors, and vendors Demonstrated working knowledge of the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s Patient Placement Criteria Familiar with DSM (most current version) Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent customer service skills Experience in working with the Native American population preferred Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and organizational and time management skills Must be able to work well with others in a team approach Requires strong managerial and leadership skills Required strong clinical skills Possess a background in the delivery of individual/group/family counseling services, with a chemical dependency population Fingerprint Certificate required Bilingual – Spanish preferred Native American Preference
