$230,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr Pillar Health is hiring a Family Practice Physician for its 22nd Avenue location.

Position Summary

Provide the full scope of primary care services which fall under his/her field of training, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance to patients regardless of age or sex, on continuing basis. Manage health problems and coordinate health care for the patient in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status).

Develop and maintain favorable internal relationships, partnerships with co-workers, including managers, providers, support staff and business office staff Develop and maintain favorable external relationships with vendors and community leaders

Primary Tasks And Duties

Provides medical treatment to KCHC patients as evidenced by compliance with the following standards:

Obtain health history and perform physical examinations. Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment Prescribe medication in accordance with Wisconsin statute and professional practice guidelines Perform minor surgical procedures Arrange referral for patients requiring services not offered at KCHC Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG) sign, date and follow-up in a timely manner according to KCHC policies Respond to patients messages, correspondence in a timely manner according to KCHC policies Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested Assist in outside medical public relations functions as requested Supervises students in training at KCHC as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer Serve as collaborating physician to physician assistants and Nurse Practitioners Provider coverage for after clinic hours as scheduled (shared with other providers) Comply with continued medical education policy Participate in the development/review of office policies and support the Chief Medical Officer in their duties Maintain hospital privileges and be in good standing with hospital Medical Staff office

Position Requirements

Educational and/or Experience

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school Completion of accredited residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an out patient or ambulatory care setting. Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Wisconsin required. Board Certification or Board Eligible within 1 year in a primary care specialty (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine) required. Current DEA registration required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certication required.

WORK SCHEDULE

Open availability to work up to 40 hours during clinic operating hours. Clinics generally operate Monday – Thursday, 7am – 7pm, Friday, 7am – 5pm and Saturdays 7am – 3pm.
