Current Opportunities
Full‑Time (36 hours per week) night shift (7 p.m.–7:30 a.m.)
Part‑Time (24 hours per week) night shift (7 p.m.–7:30 a.m.)
Casual / As‑needed positions
We hire Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) and Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT). Some roles may include up to a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible candidates.
Responsibilities
Perform all respiratory care procedures and patient assessments, implementing treatments and therapies per department and hospital protocols.
Implement and evaluate the plan of care for respiratory procedures, including aerosol, secretion mobilization, and hyperinflation therapies.
Provide care for patients requiring ventilator assistance and complex respiratory devices, interpreting clinical data for quality patient care.
Perform comprehensive ventilator management and monitor cardiopulmonary status of patients receiving intensive respiratory care.
Demonstrate competency in all adult ICU, Pediatrics, Emergency Room, and Special Care Nursery/NICU procedures without supervision.
Perform diagnostic studies as designated by department policy or physician order.
Initiate and monitor invasive and non‑invasive arterial blood gas measurements.
Consult with Physicians, RNs, and other health‑care professionals; participate in daily patient rounds for assigned area.
Respond to patient and family needs with appropriate clinical competence.
Monitor and document patient responses to interventions and progress toward outcomes; complete charting per standards.
Serve as a resource and role model for new staff, students, and NM personnel; assist with precepting and orientation.
Demonstrate teamwork, communicate effectively, and collaborate with all hospital services to maintain excellence.
Participate in huddles and stay informed through e‑mail and other communications.
Manage work schedule efficiently, completing timely documentation, cleaning equipment, and entering accurate billing and charges.

Qualifications Required
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – National Board of Respiratory Care
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) – Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (within three months of hire)
BLS through American Heart Association
NRP – American Academy of Pediatrics (within three months of hire)
Associate Degree in Applied Science (AAS)
Preferred
Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) – National Board of Respiratory Care
Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) – National Board of Respiratory Care
ACLS through American Heart Association
Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) – National Board of Respiratory Care
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
