Practical Nurses – Licensed 1, 2, or 3

Practical Nurses play a critical role in delivering hands-on, patient-centered support to adult male inmates at David Wade Correctional Center. Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state plus two years of experience as a licensed practical nurse. here . Job Duties: As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be instrumental indelivering hands-on, patient-centered support. In this role, you will:
Conducts daily sick call Attend emergencies Assists RN's or Physicians Works with all medical staff
Position-Specific Details: THIS POSITION WILL BE FILLED AS A PROBATIONAL APPOINTMENT or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE OF LOUISIANA STATE GOVERNMENT (State Employee) This position may be filled as:
DETAIL: The selected employee may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted . PROBATIONAL APPOINTMENT: Current permanent status classified State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment, if selected. TEMPORARY JOB APPOINTMENT: This position may be filled by temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
This position has a Special Entrance Rate at each level Practical Nurse-Licensed 1 has an SER of $19.48 per hour. Practical Nurse-Licensed 2 has an SER of $20.84 per hour. Practical Nurse-Licensed 3 has an SER of $22.30 per hour. There is Premium Pay at a rate of
$5.00 per hour for each hour worked, in addition to regular pay.
SALARY DEPENDENDS ON LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE
As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a
Practical Nurse - Licensed 1, 2, or 3
depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).
The maximum salary for the
Practical Nurse - Licensed

is $68,806.00 annually.
