The Chemistry Program at the University of West Georgia invites applications for a Limited-Term Instructor Position to begin August 1, 2025. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective instruction of introductory chemistry courses and laboratories to chemistry majors and non-majors. Instruction may be assigned to either Carrollton or Newnan campuses; travel may be required. Job Summary

The position involves teaching 12 credit hours per semester in a combination of courses based on program needs and candidate expertise, including Introductory GOB Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. Engagement with program activities is expected. Responsibilities

Teach twelve credit hours (4/4 workload) in a combination of GOB Chemistry, General Chemistry, and/or Organic Chemistry lectures and labs, face-to-face at the Carrollton or Newnan, GA campuses. Be available to assist students by offering reasonable and regular face-to-face office hours. Maintain clear, regular, and engaging communication with enrolled students. Required Qualifications

M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry Minimum of 18 graduate level course credits in Chemistry with some experience teaching Chemistry at the undergraduate level as either an instructor for a Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience teaching introductory General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry lecture or lab as the head instructor for the course. Salary

Subject matter expertise in chemical content necessary to teach Introductory GOB, General Chemistry, or Organic Chemistry. Skill:

Ability to effectively communicate course content, deliver materials via a learning management system, and oversee safe laboratory experiments by undergraduates. Abilities:
