Employee can work either 5 eight hour shifts from Monday - Friday or 4 Ten Hour shifts Tuesday - Friday

The role you’ll contribute: When you join our team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve. As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

Engages in promoting evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, teaching/mentoring/CI, and/or clinical practice education within a peer group

Regularly participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships with a minimum of 2 contacts per month. Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community as approved by manager or director

Actively supports scheduling so that each patient meets the plan of care as agreed upon by the patient and referring physician by adjusting and adapting their own schedule and/or working within the team in order to meet the patients’ needs. Willingly adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers/programs as approved and observed by manager or director

Determines Physical Therapy Diagnosis and establishes plan of care, make recommendations for referral if treatment needed outside of scope of Physical Therapist practice.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Physical Therapist (PT) Temporary State permit as Physical Therapist

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

Preferred Experience with Pelvic Floor Patients and Treatment plans
