Participates in assessment of students in conjunction with an occupational therapist. Participates in the determination of therapeutic goals and objectives in conjunction with the occupational therapist. Participates in triennial and IEP conferences. Provides direct service to students. Consults with classroom teachers and assistants regarding student specific needs. Documents treatment provided through maintenance of written records. Participates in in-service training of staff in areas of need. Assists in determining students’ adaptive equipment needs. Attends scheduled therapy meetings and in-services. Meets with OTR as required by AOTA. Performs related work as required or assigned. Completion of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Must hold a current Virginia license to practice as Occupational Therapy Assistant. Experience with school-age population, preferred. Good organizational, human relations, and communication skills. POSITION INFORMATION: Supervisor: Ms. Kimberly Judge, Director of Special Education Employment Period: 10 months (200 days) Employment Status: Full-time Hiring Range (H-12): $19.16 – $25.73 Start Date: August 2025 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Participates in assessment of students in conjunction with an occupational therapist. Participates in the determination of therapeutic goals and objectives in conjunction with the occupational therapist. Participates in triennial and IEP conferences.
