Job Description Overview Under minimal supervision, performs routine and specialized sonographic procedures. Key Responsibilities Executes clinical competence in Sonography in all locations across all patient types. Selects accurate equipment and technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient. Applies knowledge of Sonography principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, physics, positioning and patient care skills. Performs high level disinfecting procedures to meet infection prevention standards. Adheres to regulatory compliance standards. Documents accurate patient care activity in electronic health records systems. Ensures a safe work environment, maintains supplies and inventory, reports equipment/environmental issues, and follows up for resolution. Participates and leads in departmental performance improvement initiatives. Acts as a clinical competency evaluator for students and a preceptor for training and education activities. Qualifications Graduation from an approved and accredited Ultrasound Educational Program 5+ Years of experience Licensures/Certifications RDMS and RVT certification OR 2 or more RDMS certifications.
