Department Information This position is open only to current Colorado state residents. Please note: This recruitment may be used to fill multiple vacancies. Weekly Hybrid Working Arrangements: Minimum 2 days in office and maximum 3 days remote work (8‑5 pm). Work arrangements are subject to change at any time. Purpose of the Position The position assists the director in the oversight and monitoring of the competency-based evaluation and restoration programs located at Peak View Behavioral Health, the Arapahoe County Detention Facility, and the Denver County facility. It responds to and screens referrals, assesses patient acuity, provides clinical oversight, assists in data gathering, policy development, audits, site visits, and contract negotiations. The role functions as a clinical lead for Health Professional IIIs and supports private hospital and jail-based restoration programs.

Job Duties

Screen referrals for hospital‑purchased beds: gather referrals, use established criteria for admissions, transfers, and discharges, analyze records and assessments, respond quickly to placement changes.

Lead work to Health Professional III’s for admission to jail‑based beds: assist in determining admissions, transfers, discharges, support clinical decision‑making.

Program implementation and monitoring contractor performance: serve as contract monitor, audit private hospital partnerships, conduct site visits, promote compliance.

Admission coordination and reporting: collaborate with stakeholders (state psychiatric facilities, county jails, courts, contractors, CMHHIP, CMHHIFL, etc.), track data, report to CDHS and OCFMH, contribute to presentations.

Other duties as assigned within the Forensic Services Division.

Minimum Qualifications

Seven (7) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned or a combination of related education and experience equal to seven years.

Master’s level education in mental health/social work‑related field and a current license as a Clinical Social Worker with the Board of Social Work Examiners or as a Professional Counselor with the Colorado Board of Licensed Professional Counselor Examiners. Prefer previous experience with competency to stand trial and work with severe and persistently mentally ill in acute settings.

Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, Google Apps, and ability to learn new software).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent time and organizational skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively independently and in team situations.

Ability to prioritize work tasks independently and collaborate with team members.
