Responsibilities
The Home Health
Occupational Therapist (OT)
assesses and evaluates patient needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor skills, home assessments, adaptive equipment, and other occupational therapy requirements as defined by medical conditions. Provides services within the scope of practice defined by state laws, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Evaluates patients’ functional status and all relevant body systems for CMS documentation, and consults with physicians to develop the therapy plan of care. Observes, records, and reports patient responses and condition changes to the nurse supervisor and physician. Conducts assessments to evaluate functional ability using diagnostic and prognostic tests.
Education and Experience
License Requirements Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice Current CPR certification Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation #LI-MD1
