Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

to join our

Substance Use Disorder Services

team. The general purpose of this position is to provide co-occurring substance abuse counseling services. Responsibilities

Provide clinical mental health services to co-occurring substance use clients Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies Provide empirically-supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral issues Provide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations Develop and implement a treatment plan Complete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan Complete third party billing requirements such as obtaining prior authorizations and communicating with the billing office as necessary Collaborate regularly with staff and community partners including: schools, social services, court services, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community at large Participate in the referral process Maintain necessary written records in accordance with NPMHC policies and procedures and other applicable regulations Provide crisis intervention services as requested Qualifications

This position may be filled by a mental health professional licensed in Minnesota (LICSW, LMFT, LP, PMHNP, LPCC) Current First Aid and CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or willingness to obtain upon hire At least one year of work experience in direct service to individuals with substance use problems or one year of work experience in the management or administration of direct service to individuals with substance use problems A Master\'s degree in the behavioral sciences Education or experience in co-occurring disorders Travel is a function of this position; ability to operate a motor vehicle along with a valid driver’s license is required Compensation & Benefits
