Mobile Crisis Clinician, Part Time, Second Shift Be a part of UC Health’s Mobile Crisis Team. The role involves comprehensive psychosocial assessment, care planning, and crisis de‑escalation for Hamilton County residents.

Job Description The MCT Clinician will conduct psychosocial assessment, develop and implement a care plan, and serve as a liaison to the health care and mental health team. Responsibilities include patient population engagement, assessment and transport, goal development, education and consultation, evaluation and termination, and competency activities.

Patient Population:

Engages in appropriate communication, involves family/guardian, identifies physical limitations, responds to behavioral health problems, administers medication or operates equipment safely, and recognizes signs of abuse or neglect.

Engagement and Exploration:

Assesses psychosocial data, determines priority, identifies barriers to treatment, enhances health status, improves quality of life, and develops a report with patient and family.

Goal Development and Implementation:

Determines appropriate level of care with the care team, collaborates with medical team and psychiatry services, provides counseling, and initiates referrals to community as indicated.

Education and Consultation:

Provides consultation and training to medical staff, health care professionals, and law enforcement.

Evaluation and Termination:

Summarizes care plan, facilitates referrals, and participates in process improvement.

Competency:

Maintains documentation, participates in quality and safety initiatives, and communicates effectively with community agencies.

Qualifications

Minimum Required: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.

Required: Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Complete required training and Ohio health officer certification within one year.

Preferred: Licensed Independent Social Work or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

Experience: Minimum 1–2 Years equivalent; Preferred 3–5 Years equivalent.
