We are looking for per diem Radiology Techs and Sonographers to join a team focused on patient-centered care and excellent patient experience. Opportunities exist for certification in X-ray, CT, ultrasound/sonography, mammography, or MRI. Location: Burlington, VT.
Job Descriptions by Specialty
Radiology Technologist (X-Ray)
Operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs and fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a radiologist, supervisor, and lead technologists.
Assist in the clinical instruction of radiography students and other personnel as needed.
May be required to work a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.
CT Technologist
Perform a variety of computerized tomographic procedures under the supervision of the Radiologist, utilizing knowledge of ionizing radiation and computer techniques.
Demonstrate concern for patients and co-workers at all times. CT certification is preferred.
Education: Graduate from an CAHEA/JRCT accredited radiologic technology program. ARRT or NMTCB certification; CT certification preferred. Verification of college transcript may be required.
Experience: One year of full-time CT experience preferred.
Staff Sonographer
Perform diagnostic and/or breast ultrasounds and other required modalities within department(s). Examinations performed independently under physician supervision and collaboration as appropriate.
Mentor and educate staff; hold applicable credentials and meet time/experience requirements.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent and graduate of a certified CAAHEP sonography program or Radiologic Technology with ultrasound training. Active ARDMS registration with abdomen and/or OB/GYN and/or breast certification.
Experience: One to five years of paid scanning experience.
Mammography Technologist
Perform mammography exams with competency in digital mammography across equipment; conduct weekly QA per FDA and ACR requirements.
May perform other radiographic procedures as needed; assist in training personnel and students.
Education: CAHEA/JERCT accredited Radiologic Technology program; ARRT certification; Vermont license or license eligible.
Experience: At least 1 year as a Radiology technologist with completed radiology competencies.
MRI Tech
Perform imaging procedures using MRI technology, focusing on safety, image quality, and patient comfort.
Operate under supervision of Radiologist and MRI Supervisor with adherence to safety around implants and MRI guidelines.
Education: CAHEA/JRCT approved Radiologic Technology program; MRI certification (ARRT or ARMRIT) or plan to obtain within 2 years of hire.
Experience: Two years cross-sectional imaging and/or MR experience preferred; one year MR preferred.
Requirements & Qualifications
ARRT certification and Vermont license (or license eligible) as applicable for the specialty.
Ability to work varied shifts and maintain patient-centered care.
