This position provides general oversight for the assigned area to ensure daily technical operations achieve and comply with established operating budget, quality control, inventory management, and regulatory standards for the Interventional Radiology (IR) area. Position Duties
Lead Oversight: Assists the Manager with day-to-day operations and the supervision of IR Technologists. Oversees processes to ensure timely order response, exam completion, and results reporting. Approves and monitors patient scheduling to ensure patient flow and safety. Coordinates activities of technical staff to maintain integrity and efficiency of the Radiology Information System. Performs clinical work as dictated by patient volumes and staffing levels. Develops and maintains quality indicators and programs for the Interventional Radiology division. Supervises all aspects of IR procedures. Assists with developing policies, standards, and exam protocols. Maintains positive vendor relations and ensures their compliance with hospital policies. Maintains and supports the Radiology PACS system within Interventional Radiology Fiscal Oversight: Provides fiscal oversight in inventory management, orders and receipt of division supplies to stay within budget. Continuing Education: Coordinates staff development; trains, orients, and educates IR team to clinical area and service. Maintains the continuing education required for this position. Attends and facilitates meetings and special assignments related to this position and service (department team meetings, quality assurance). Receives supervision from the Manager of Interventional Radiology. Prepares and delivers lectures/publications relating to pediatric interventional studies within and outside the institution. Schedules regular work group meetings for interventional staff technologists in partnership with IR manager. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested. Mission, Vision, & Values

Qualifications

Education: Successful completion of a JRCERT approved radiologic program — Required Experience: Five (5) years of imaging experience in the diagnostic field with two (2) years in IR and/or Cath Lab — Required One (1) year of pediatric imaging experience — Preferred One (1) year of supervisory experience — Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Current ARRT license — Required Current Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency MRTBE License — Required Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association — Required Physical Requirements & Occupational Exposure/Risk Potential
Physical requirements include climbing, bending, standing, walking, and lifting up to 35 pounds (and more with assistance as needed) — Constantly to Occasionally as applicable Active about radiation exposure and related occupational risks I have reviewed the qualifications, physical requirements and occupational exposure/risk potential for this position and wish to apply.
