Radiologic C-Arm Technologist – Singing Hills Surgery Center
United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is hiring a Radiologic C-Arm Technologist to work at the Singing Hills Surgery Center. Join our team to provide high-quality imaging and support surgical services.
Job Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of C‑arm operation, including maneuvering and operating the equipment safely, producing, documenting, and storing quality radiologic images. Strive to minimize patient wait time and educate patients/families about procedures. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.
Additional duties may be assigned by the Clinical Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing, such as facilitating procedure room turnover, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and training ancillary personnel.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled procedure to ensure proper set up and readiness of equipment.
Operate equipment in accordance with State/Federal regulatory laws.
Follow ALARA principle for each case.
Perform all radiographic procedures as written in Policy and Procedure Manual.
Uphold and practice within the policies and procedures of the facility.
Perform high‑quality radiology work.
Notify Clinical Manager and/or Site Administrator of equipment or machine malfunctions.
Adhere to Policies and Procedures as defined by Infection Control.
Demonstrate knowledge of filing and logging X‑ray images.
Report radiology findings to physician and transfer images to PACS system in a timely manner.
Serve as a resource to other members of the health care team.
Maintain proper care and handling of lead aprons and ensure use of lead protection and dosimeters.
Use Standard Universal Precautions, appropriate hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and safe practices.
Follow all IFU equipment and safety guidelines and be responsible for knowledgeable use and care of equipment.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all processes and activities as required.
Maintain required competencies.
Act in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Center.
Maintain patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.
Follow the Center’s professional conduct and dress code policy.
Collaborate effectively with other disciplines as appropriate.
Participate in quality review and performance improvement projects.
Participate in the performance appraisal process.
Use problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills to foster effective work relationships with team members.
Attend required meetings and educational sessions.
Act as a patient advocate and maintain privacy of all appropriate information.
Perform other essential functions as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program or School.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (current certification or registry eligible / to be completed within 6 months of hire).
1–2 years of experience in C‑Arm and portable X‑ray procedures in an operating room setting.
