NICU RN Job Details Location: Midland, TX 79701 – West Texas nursing jobs in a welcoming city with excellent dining and scenic landscapes. Estimated Weekly Pay: $1700-$1820 Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/19/2026) Healthcare Setting: Level II/III/IV NICU (18 beds, average daily census of 13) Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00) Hours per Week: 36 Employment Type: Travel Nurse Contract Floating: May float to Mother Baby, Labor & Delivery, and Pediatrics units Weekend Coverage: 4 weekend shifts per 6-week period Orientation: 36 hours Charting System: Cerner (experience preferred) Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (pending license accepted; must be active before start) Minimum 3 years of recent NICU nursing experience required BLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed) Ability to float to Mother Baby, Labor & Delivery, and Pediatrics units Must pass on-site drug screening Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive neonatal nursing care in a high-acuity NICU environment Administer blood products, antibiotics, antivirals, anti-seizure medications, and IV vasopressors Perform APGAR scoring, arterial line management, and assist with lumbar punctures Deliver developmental care, breastfeeding support, and family education Manage central lines, chest tubes, bubble CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, oscillators, and ventilators (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) Conduct sepsis workups, phototherapy, and thermoregulation Care for neonates with conditions including meconium aspiration, NEC, neonatal abstinence syndrome, respiratory distress syndrome, and seizure disorders Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members such as physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams Float to related units as needed and uphold patient safety and quality standards Benefits
