We are the nation’s sixth‑largest nonprofit senior‑living provider, and we’re seeking Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to support our mission in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory‑care settings.
Responsibilities
Assist routine daily direction and monitor the work of the nursing assistants on the unit, assuring a high standard of nursing care and satisfactory completion of tasks.
Assist in the orientation of new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants and reinforce training standards to maintain a high quality of care.
Provide explanation of nursing procedures and assistance to staff to assure ongoing understanding and training.
Communicate on a regular basis with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, suggestions of problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, and conditions.
Observe and evaluate residents’ health, mental and emotional conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff. Notify the physician and family members according to prescribed procedures when indicated.
Provide direct patient care as appropriate, including procedures such as catheter placement and care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, naso‑gastric tubes, and other treatments.
Participate in reports at the beginning and end of shifts to assure proper information about residents is communicated.
Assist in the admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, ensuring physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc. are transcribed and communicated according to procedure.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
Current license, in good standing, as an LPN/LVN in the state.
One year nursing experience.
Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.
Compensation and Benefits Pay Range : $32.36 — $40.79 per hour. The offered rate considers qualifications, experience, education, geography, and internal equity.
