Independent Mental Health Therapist, EMDR, California - Remote
This position is located in California with a fully remote work model, supporting patients across the country through integrated psychiatric medication management, substance use disorder treatment, counseling services, peer support, and care coordination.
Position Summary We are looking for a licensed independent therapist (LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT) to provide counseling and therapy treatment remotely via telemedicine to patients of our Community Health Center partners. As a “yes‑first” clinical provider, the clinician will work to help patients wherever they are and guide them along their journey to recovery and stabilization.
Key Areas Of Ownership
Provide patient‑care modalities of evidence‑based practices, including CBT, DBT, solution‑focused therapy, psychoeducation, trauma therapy, addiction therapy, ACT, bereavement/grief counseling, and more.
Implement specific treatment modalities in both individual and group therapy, engaging patients in their treatment plan.
Review and sign patient clinical psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consents in a timely manner; maintain clinic records, including documentation of activities performed as part of service delivery.
Document all services and patient activities appropriately, ensuring documentation complies with best clinical practices, contracts, regulatory and legal requirements.
Conduct crisis intervention for the individual and family based on the individual’s safety plan.
Participate in regular case planning with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the most clinically appropriate patient disposition.
Participate in individual and group supervision and ongoing education to maintain and improve competency, demonstrating competency through post‑testing, skill observation, and performance as assessed by a direct supervisor.
Provide case management services to promote recovery and community reintegration as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted mental health license in California.
EMDR trained and/or certified (required).
Comfortable working in a remote environment.
Patient‑first mindset.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods during working hours.
Manual dexterity: Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for using a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
Visual requirements: Adequate vision for reading computer screens and documents.
Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for virtual meetings and correspondence.
Hearing: Sufficient hearing ability for participating in phone calls or virtual meetings.
Work environment: Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions with reliable internet connectivity.

Salary : $95,000‑$105,000 (primary residence located in CA) with monthly bonus program.
