Clinical Supervisor (Crisis Stabilization Unit) Working under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services and in conjunction with the treatment team, the Clinical Supervisor manages all aspects of the Crisis Stabilization Unit. This team provides intervention and crisis stabilization services to children and youth 5-17 in a mental health or other crisis. Services are performed in the Crisis Stabilization Unit with some in‑home treatment implementation.

Overall operation of the CSU including a 24‑hour crisis line, dispatching staff for crisis intervention, admission to CSU, stabilization with rapid discharge planning and responsive coordination with Community Service Boards and wrap‑around planning. Responsibilities include staffing, training, assessments, oversight of service delivery and clinical supervision, all performed within a systems‑based framework and strong collaboration with other services at St. Joseph's Villa.

Responsibilities

Evaluation and screening on an emergency basis for clients in need of crisis stabilization services.

Partner with emergency services and criminal justice community to ensure appropriate level of care.

Accurate data collection of program goals.

Assist in crisis resolution.

Create, implement and monitor a comprehensive stabilization plan.

Provide supervision and training of staff within the program.

Schedule shifts and coverage pattern for service, including regular and on‑call relief.

Work with the director and treatment staff on supervision, evaluation, training and recommendations for hiring or termination.

Participate in staff meetings, community meetings and other staff and program group activities that support the operation of a treatment program.

Promote good family and community relations and assess services for appropriate wrap‑around services to support quality of life for persons served.

Qualifications

Qualified Mental Health Provider: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Three or more years of experience with the relevant population (including at least one year in a supervisory capacity).

Experience with crisis intervention and/or stabilization preferred.

Proficiency with Windows, Outlook, internet research and Microsoft Office.

Valid Virginia driver’s license with an excellent driving record.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
