POSITION OVERVIEW: Under supervision of the Program Director the Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical oversight and quality assurance to all unlicensed and licensed staff clinicians who provide substance and alcohol abuse services in an OTP program setting. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for adherence to all applicable licensing, supervision, billing, documentation requirements and overseeing the timeliness and quality of a staff member’s clinical work. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for client case record reviews, performance improvement and quality improvement to include all required monthly reports. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily operations and performance of the OTP program. Manage OTP clinic operations to budgeted and planned results. Coordinate with staff via weekly supervision to ensure completion of performance goals; provide ongoing feedback and evaluation of clinicians on the quality and timeliness of their clinical work and caseload; solicit feedback from clinicians on supervision needs. Monitor caseloads and ensure supervisees comply with agency, clinical, legal and ethical practices. Review and co-sign supervisees’ clinical documentation (e.g., methadone dose change forms, bio-psychosocial history, initial treatment plans, treatment plan reviews). Become familiar with APG and ICD-10 billing codes, including DSM V diagnosis codes. Oversee billing hours; provide training and remediation to help supervisees meet billing and documentation standards and quality assurance requirements. Communicate concerns about quality of clinician’s work to the Program Director in a timely manner. Ensure implementation of ACACIA policies and procedures within the OTP program; ensure staff are aware of and can access medical and other referred services. Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (OASAS, Joint Commission, SAMHSA, DEA, HIPAA) at state and federal levels. Support partnership opportunities and linkage agreements to drive census growth and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with Medical Director, Program Director, and Operations Director on compliance, quality improvement, productivity goals, and client care standards. Familiarize with Joint Commission and OTP laws and regulations; participate in community relations to drive census. Identify training needs and provide education to staff to meet OTP program requirements. Participate as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure best training and service delivery; facilitate weekly case conferences and group supervision; monthly clinical and medical staff meetings including incident reporting and chart reviews. Contribute to six-month and annual performance evaluations of clinical staff and help clinicians set development goals. Perform additional relevant duties as requested by supervisor/management. Qualifications
Must be a Qualified Health Professional (QHP) in good standing with the appropriate licensing or certifying authority, as applicable.
Certified Advanced CASAC (CASAC-A); or Certified Master CASAC (CASAC-M); or Licensed Master/Clinical Social Worker (LMSW, LCSW); or Licensed Mental Health Practitioners (LMHC, LCAT, LMFT, Psychoanalyst); or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
Education Requirements
CASAC-A - Bachelor’s degree CASAC-M - Master’s degree LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LCAT, LMFT, Psychoanalyst and CRC requires Master degree.
3+ years of relevant clinical work experience in the substance use disorder field, with at least one year in supervision. Mandated reporter training (2 hours) within 30 days.
