This role is ideal for a technician who excels in the operating room and finds fulfillment in maintaining the highest standards of patient care. From induction to recovery, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring patient safety, surgical efficiency, and outstanding medical outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients, surgical suites, and equipment for procedures Perform dental cleanings while exhibiting proficiency in dental radiography Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia safely and accurately Maintain sterility and aseptic technique throughout procedures Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and assist with surgical instruments and equipment Ensure all surgical charges and records are complete and accurate in Cornerstone Clean, wrap, and autoclave surgical instruments and packs Communicate clearly with veterinarians and other team members regarding patient status Monitor hospitalized surgical patients and provide attentive, compassionate care What We’re Looking For
A CVT (or eligible) in Mississippi; or experienced veterinary surgery technician Prior experience in veterinary surgery and anesthesia required Strong technical skills, including IV catheter placement, intubation, and anesthesia monitoring Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to multitask, anticipate needs, and stay calm under pressure Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and emotional intelligence Schedule & Benefits
