Job Summary The Chemistry Program is seeking part‑time, adjunct faculty to teach General Chemistry lecture and laboratory courses for chemistry majors and non‑majors and General Organic Biochemistry (GOB) lecture and laboratory courses for students majoring in nursing and related allied health and health professional fields depending upon specific qualifications. Part‑time faculty are critical to the mission of the Chemistry Program. Part‑time positions may or may not be available every semester; part‑time faculty are hired as needed. However, part‑time opportunities are typically available each semester.

Responsibilities

To teach General Chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses (e.g., CHEM 1211, 1211L, 1212, and 1212L).

To teach GOB lecture and/or laboratory courses for nursing and related allied health and health professional fields (e.g., CHEM 1151, 1151L, 1152, and 1152L).

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 18 graduate level course credits in chemistry or a chemistry‑related discipline.

Candidates must provide information/references that support teaching effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Chemistry or chemistry‑related discipline.

Applications and credentials (e.g., M.S. in Chemistry) should correlate with the specific areas of application.

Teaching experience in lecture and laboratory settings.
