Medical Assistant Float (Travel Required)
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to travel between multiple practices in the Dallas area (North Dallas, Frisco, Irving, Little Elm, Mesquite, Richardson, Rockwall, and Waxahachie) to provide coverage as needed on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be confident in both front and back‑office roles, adaptable to different practice settings and specialties, and enjoy local travel. This position is best suited for someone who thrives on variety, works well independently, easily acclimates to new environments and people, and delivers professional, compassionate care to every patient.
Pay Information Base pay range: $22.00/hr – $24.00/hr. This range is provided by 99 Healthcare Management and your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
Company Overview 99 Healthcare Management is a Dallas‑based physician practice management company that supports healthcare providers in all administrative functions. Our service areas include human resources, accounting, marketing, business development, provider credentialing, and revenue cycle management. We manage practices across various specialties such as internal medicine, family medicine, pain management, cardiology, OBGYN, and more.
Essential Functions
Room patients, take vitals, and collect patient histories.
Assist in examinations and treatment of patients under provider direction.
Administer injections and vaccinations; perform phlebotomy as needed.
Process prescription refills and complete patient callbacks.
Clean and restock exam/procedure rooms between visits to maintain infection control standards.
Update and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system (E‑Clinical Works preferred).
Perform front‑desk duties, including greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting co‑pays, and handling payments.
Provide administrative and clerical support at the corporate office (Dallas – 635 & Greenville/Abrams) between practice assignments.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the clinical team and practice operations.
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant (front and back office).
Strong phlebotomy and injection skills required.
BLS, CPR, and First Aid certifications required.
EMR experience required; E‑Clinical Works preferred.
NCT certification preferred but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Reliable transportation, valid Texas driver’s license, and proof of minimum vehicle liability insurance required.
Willing and able to travel locally throughout the Dallas area.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No weekends, holidays, or after‑hours.
