As Southeast Orthopedic Specialists continues to grow, we are hiring Physical Therapist Assistants for our Jacksonville, FL, and St. Augustine, FL clinics! Please see below for the functions and requirements needed to be considered for this position: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Contribute to the physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues, providing information and commentary, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing physical therapy directives. Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and studying therapy histories. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Perform therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises, instructing and encouraging patients in physical activities, and assisting with supportive devices like crutches, canes, and prostheses. Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, growth and development, and health maintenance. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and infection-control policies. Monitor treatment trends and services to meet production objectives. Ensure legal and accreditation compliance with policies concerning federal, state, and local regulations and standards. Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations. Accept ownership for new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. EDUCATION
Must have completed requirements for and hold a current PTA certification. ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal clinic environment. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
Standing approximately 80% of the day. Some bending and stretching required. Manual dexterity for using a calculator and computer keyboard. ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
