3x12 hour shifts needed - day and night opening. Job Description: Position Summary The ICU/PCU Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill or medically complex patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions. The RN demonstrates advanced clinical judgment, technical skills, and evidence-based practice in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in accordance with hospital policies and State Nurse Practice Act. Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring advanced therapies such as ventilators, vasoactive infusions, hemodynamic monitoring, and other specialized equipment. Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately, adhering to established protocols. Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, utilizing critical thinking skills and initiating rapid interventions as appropriate. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for complex patients. Provide education, emotional support, and resources to patients and their families regarding conditions, treatments, and ongoing care needs. Document patient care activities, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, shared governance, and evidence-based practice projects to enhance patient outcomes and unit performance. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to peers, ancillary staff, and new team members. Uphold patient safety, dignity, and satisfaction as top priorities in care delivery. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred). Licensure/Certification: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. BLS and ACLS required; CCRN or PCCN certification preferred. Experience: ICU: Minimum 1 year of critical care nursing experience.
