The Department of Biology is an instructional and research department within the College of Arts and Sciences that supports significant research activities in a wide range of fields in the Biology discipline including neuroscience, genetics, cell and developmental biology, evolution, ecology, and marine biology. The Department includes approximately 50 teaching faculty, emeritus faculty, graduate students, and professional/administrative staff. The Department enrolls approximately 1,200 Biology majors and 100 graduate students.

The Department of Biology is soliciting applications for its open applicant instructor pool. Positions may be part-time, limited-duration appointments not to exceed one year. In limited circumstances, there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years based on programmatic need, funding, and performance. Minimum Requirements

Master's degree in biology or a closely related field. Preferred Qualifications

PhD in biology or a closely related field. A minimum of one course teaching experience is strongly preferred. Benefits
