This position will float between Austin, Albert Lea, Preston, MN and Saint Ansgar, IA.
Work involves Rehab/Skilled, Outpatient, and Home Health services, collaborating with an experienced group of therapists.
Job Summary Administers speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients with various speech problems and swallowing disorders. Develops individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses and provides speech and language services, monitoring disease progression and adjusting treatments accordingly. Instructs clients in practicing therapeutic exercises and provides consultation for ongoing treatment processes. Ensures compliance with all standards, policies, and quality requirements.
May treat individuals of all ages with various diagnoses and disorders, demonstrating proper documentation and adherence to clinical practice guidelines. Exhibits flexibility with work schedules, participates in departmental and organizational activities, and interacts with external providers and organizations. May supervise assistants, aides, and students, providing ongoing education and training as needed.
Work may focus on post-acute, long-term care, and home health environments.
Qualifications
Appropriate education level as per state licensure requirements.
Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or working towards Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
Valid driver’s license if applicable.
Maintains required competencies and certifications, including BLS within first 60 days.
