School-Based Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) Contract

Position Overview You will provide evaluations, intervention, progress monitoring, collaborate with special education teams and general educators, and help students access the general curriculum in a K-12 setting.

Pay Range:
$60-$75/hour (depending on experience and schedule).
Requirements
Masters degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or equivalent.
Valid California license to practice speech-language pathology (issued by the California State Speech‑Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board) OR eligibility to obtain same.
Valid California Speech‑Language Pathology Services Credential (issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing) or working toward it.
Experience or strong interest in school‑based SLP services (assessments, therapy plans, IEP roles, collaboration).
Strong collaboration and communication skills working with students, families, teachers and special‑education teams.
Ability to pass background check and meet district/school clearance requirements.
California‑Specific Requirements
To qualify for the SLP Services Credential, you must hold a masters in SLP (from a regionally accredited institution, ASHA‑accredited) and meet other credential requirements.
If you hold only the SLP license (without the school credential), some districts may still hire you for school‑based positions but many will require the credential for public school service.
