As a Physician Assistant at Sagent Behavioral Health, formerly known as (Nystrom & Associates, Ltd.), you will be an important part of a vibrant and dynamic outpatient mental health provider making important contributions to the mental health of our local communities. You will focus on diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental illnesses and emotional disorders. You will evaluate patients’ mental and physical well-being, create personalized treatment plans, and prescribe medication as needed. This role plays a crucial part in supporting patients’ needs and promoting improved mental health outcomes. Specifically for this role, an ideal candidate would have an interest in supporting the adult population.

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric diagnostic assessments, evaluates need for medications, and prescribe as indicated.

Makes urgent assessments of person in crisis, evaluating as appropriate.

Collaborate with others involved in treatment planning.

Document all patient interactions, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication changes in compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards.

Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings and consultations.

Ensure a patient-centered approach by fostering a supportive and empathetic therapeutic environment.

Requirements

Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.

Active and unrestricted license in the State of Minnesota.

2+ years post‑grad experience working as a PA‑C in the following areas: psychiatry, family medicine, and/or internal medicine, required.

Knowledge of regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations.

Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Office products and experience with Electronic Health Records.

Summary Compensation: This is an exempt position. Total earnings for this position will range from $120,000 - $165,000 annually. Employees in this position are W2. Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as education, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location.
