Position Type: Locum Tenens Oncology RN (Travel Contract) Location: On-site in Cumming, GA (30041) – North Georgia healthcare jobs Unit: University GYN Oncology Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (8:30am–5:00pm) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000–$2050 Contract Duration: 12 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/10/2026) Holiday Coverage: Required to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve) Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology nursing experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia BLS certification (required) Chemo certification (required) Strong clinical skills in Oncology, bone marrow transplant, and GYN oncology Excellent communication and teamwork abilities No local candidates within 50 miles Responsibilities
Deliver compassionate and expert nursing care to oncology patients in the University GYN Oncology unit Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Educate patients and families about oncology treatment options, side effects, and self-care strategies Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety Participate in holiday coverage as required Benefits
