Field Athletic Trainer: Full Time, Sports Medicine
Base pay range: $24.05/hr - $39.71/hr
Atlantic Health is seeking a well-qualified Field Athletic Trainer for the Sports Medicine Department. The incumbent will provide athletic training services to AHS-affiliated schools or teams, using advanced sports medicine knowledge and evidence-based practice. Responsibilities
Administrative supervision of the affiliated school or team organization’s athletic training department
Daily supervision of direct reports; provide feedback on performance and contribute to annual performance evaluations
Oversee hiring, promotions, and transfers for direct reports; establish weekly work schedules for physicians and direct reports
Set and adjust athletic training room hours of operation based on athlete and department needs
Develop and revise annual emergency action plans to comply with best practices and regulations
Provide educational opportunities focused on athlete wellness and injury prevention for athletes, coaches, and medical staff as indicated
Manage and resolve complex grievances related to medical care for athletes; act as liaison between athletes and physicians
Provide clinical supervision of the affiliated athletic training program
Perform history and physical examinations on indicated athletes; coordinate referrals and follow-up care as needed
Provide emergency medical coverage during all home athletic events
Deliver treatment and rehabilitation to indicated athletes; promote safety and injury prevention measures
Schedule on-campus injury clinics and pre-participation physicals
Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-accredited program
Active BOC certification
NJ Athletic Training License in good standing
BLS Certification
