ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing

Location: Mountain Home, AR 72653 – Explore the Ozarks, known for outdoor recreation, lakes, and a vibrant small‑town atmosphere.
Healthcare Setting: 17‑bed ICU/CSICU with advanced cardiovascular and surgical care
Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
Start Date: November 24, 2025
End Date: February 23, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3×12‑hour day shifts (07:00‑19:00)
Hours per Week: 36
Patient Ratios: 1:2
Weekend Coverage: Required (12 weekend shifts per contract)
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1700‑$1820
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required, BSN preferred)
Active Arkansas or Compact State RN license
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience, including open heart/heart recovery
Previous charge nurse experience required
Travel nursing experience highly preferred
Certifications: BLS and ACLS (required); NIHSS preferred
Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred
Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency
COVID‑19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
This is a safety‑sensitive position under Arkansas Act 593
Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care in a high‑acuity ICU/CSICU setting for cardiovascular, surgical, and critically ill patients
Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide evidence‑based care
Provide leadership and mentorship to fellow nursing staff
Manage advanced therapies and equipment, including IABP, ECMO, and Impella devices
Demonstrate expertise in arterial line management, ventilator management, cardiac drips, and post‑cardiac surgery care
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and procedures
