Job Summary and Qualifications We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian to coordinate all phases of nutrition care including assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling for hospitalized patients and outpatients. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, compliance with JCAHO and regulatory standards, and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Plan and organize the nutritional care of patients.

Assess patient nutritional needs and develop dietary care plans.

Set measurable short- and long‑term nutritional goals and evaluate outcomes.

Accurately calculate nutritional needs based on therapeutic requirements.

Document care in the medical record in accordance with PCD guidelines.

Monitor and inspect meal service for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.

Participate in patient rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve outcomes.

Contribute to a culture of patient‑centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or a comparable major.

Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Dietitian in an acute‑care environment or completion of a coordinated program or dietetic internship of at least 900 hours under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian.

Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) by the Florida Board of Dietetics and Nutrition; Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Candidates eligible for registration may be hired with the understanding that registration will be achieved within 90 days of hire.
