Electronics Technician 3
to join our
Security and Electronic Systems (SES)
business unit. As part of
SES , you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio-visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets. Responsibilities
Executes various technical tasks within field operations, including on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Ensures the functionality and reliability of various technologies. Key duties include conducting site surveys, configuring hardware and software, testing systems, and providing technical support to customers. Must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and effective communication skills. Utilizes and understands project safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing M.C. Dean policies. Participates in quality reviews of design documentation, analyzing and interpreting drawing packages for constructability. Tracks project metrics and participates in resource allocation meetings. Verifies charges in timesheets. Performs installation and maintenance activities, completing detailed documentation. Manages tools and materials, conducts inspections, and organizes procurement. Conducts safety meetings, ensures compliance, and reports incidents. Participates in PITCO planning and execution for testing and installation. Installs system raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels per standards. Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices and network equipment. Configures switches, servers, and workstations, and troubleshoots components. Ensures quality control and conducts inspections. Maintains field devices, troubleshoots issues, and leads commissioning efforts. Communicates regularly with project teams, trades, and clients. Leads by example, mentors team members, and fosters innovation. Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. Provides resource planning and coordination. Qualifications
Clearance/Citizen Type:
Applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements. Education: HS diploma or GED, military electronics training, graduation from an electronics technician or electrical apprenticeship program, plus three years of electronics installation/maintenance experience. Experience: 6+ years in electronics installation/maintenance across multiple systems and clients. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in MS Office is a plus. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. Preferred Qualifications: Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems, and related technologies. 3 years experience in electronic security systems. OSHA 30 certification preferred. What We Offer
