Summary
Seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to perform repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on production equipment within a USDA-regulated facility. This role supports safe and efficient operations by ensuring all equipment is in proper working order to maintain high-quality output. Responsibilities
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery such as grinders, blenders, conveyors, formers, and vacuum packaging systems. Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems. Keep detailed records of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities in compliance with company standards. Follow all OSHA, USDA, and plant safety guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout procedures. Collaborate with operations and sanitation teams to support production uptime and smooth shift transitions. Assist with installation and startup of new equipment when required. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred. 2–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within food or meat processing. Proficiency with mechanical components, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with USDA-regulated environments is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals. Comfortable working in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Details
