Civil/Roadway Engineer

STV . STV has an immediate need in our Charlotte or Raleigh, NC office for a Civil / Roadway Engineer in our Transportation Division. The successful candidate will provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipal agencies and NCDOT. Responsibilities
Provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipal agencies and NCDOT. Design roadway geometry and details, drainage, traffic control, pavement markings, and signing for transportation infrastructure. Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams. Design using MicroStation; experience in Open Roads (ORD) is a plus. Coordinate design development and assist with technical direction to other design staff. Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget. Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports. Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and project managers. Mentor supporting Civil design staff. Qualifications
A minimum of 4 years of experience in all technical aspects of roadway design including highway, reduced conflict intersections, roundabouts, intersections, widenings, and bike/ped design. Experience with MicroStation and Geopak required; familiarity with Open Roads Designer is a plus. Familiarity with the latest edition of AASHTO Green Book and MUTCD. Experience with NCDOT and other NC municipalities is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. NC PE license is required. Compensation
