Pay Range Base pay: $26.00/hr – $30.00/hr (pay based on skills and experience; discuss with recruiter)
Job Details Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday Location: Bedford, NH Hours: 40 hours per week (opportunity for overtime)
Responsibilities
Perform thorough, accurate preventative maintenance inspections.
Follow schedules to complete all required maintenance operations including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
With direction from the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, perform unscheduled maintenance as needed.
Perform complex operations—including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs—and field tests, using drawings, specifications, and other technical materials.
Provide emergency roadside services as required.
Inspect equipment and diagnose mechanical defects.
Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately.
Maintain tools and workspaces to keep them neat and orderly.
Respond to emergencies, on‑call service calls, extended hours, or weekend work as needed.
Occasionally drive vans, buses, and vehicles to conduct road tests.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness of assigned buses.
Attend field trips and special events to ensure passenger safety.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic (preferred).
Accreditation from a school or certification program preferred.
Complete all required training.
