Join Our Team as a Field Service Technician at Epiroc! At Epiroc USA LLC, our Parts and Services (PSD) Division provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customers’ productivity. We focus on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training. Field Service Technicians provide thorough service support for technical problems, monitoring, testing, and demonstrations that minimize downtime, reduce costs or promote our product capabilities in the case of a test or demo. This position will display specialized expertise in troubleshooting, repairing and installing parts as needed to maintain equipment. Work should be performed with a sense of urgency while upholding Epiroc’s high quality standards. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor conditions, with occasional exposure to high places, chemicals and the risk of electrical shock. Field work Responsibilities
Level 1: Regularly review and update personal tool inventory on a quarterly basis to maintain compliance with calibration and tool replacement protocols and keep an accurate inventory Complete daily work assignments as requested by customer or supervisor Use basic analytical skills to troubleshoot, identify problems and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems Understand and process warranty claim reports in the field Adhere to safety and environmental requirements, promote proper PPE use, and work sustainably Maintain courteous and professional demeanor with customers and internal staff Level 2: In addition to Level 1 tasks, provide warranty support, evaluate and validate claims, discuss issues with Product Company, and submit service reports Communicate service and activities to the Customer and Service Manager through daily service reports and other forms of communication Support varied activities with multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Level 3: Use specialized expertise to develop solutions customized to customer issues Rebuild components to OEM specifications in the service shop Perform essential functions across equipment types supporting all business line areas Serve as a subject matter expert for other technicians and assist with training and development Requirements
Level 1: Basic computer skills; familiarity with Epiroc equipment; mechanical aptitude and ability to read basic hydraulic and 24-volt schematics Own hand tools and ability to expand inventory using tools listed by Epiroc Complete TL1 and TL2 training and Safe Start Modules 1-5 within the first year Maintain required U.S. Department of Labor Mine Safety & Health Administration Training Certificates or complete training to obtain them by date required Valid driver’s license with valid driving record; ability to obtain a CDL if required by DOT; minimum age requirements Travel is required Level 2: Minimum of a Certificate of Completion for a Technical or Trade School, or 2-5 years of relevant experience Complete TL1 and TL2 within 3-6 months of hire Level 3: Minimum of a Certificate of Completion for a Technical or Trade School, or 5+ years of relevant experience Expertise in Rig Control Systems (RCS) Complete TL1 and TL2 within 1 month of hire *Level will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and ability to perform essential functions.* Note:
